Paying online by credit card

A few of our customers have reported that their cards have been declined during the PayPal submission. If you experience this problem:

  • try making your delivery address the same as your billing address
  • if you are a PayPal member, contact PayPal
  • if you are not a PayPal member, contact your card issuer
  • or use one of the alternative payment methods below 

Paying by cheque, postal order or bank transfer

If you would prefer to pay by cheque or postal order, please print out and complete the order form and return it to CPAG with your payment.

For payments by BACS/credit transfers, if you email or telephone your order through to us, we can send you a pro-forma invoice, so that you can quote the relevant customer number and invoice reference on your BACS remittance advice, or print out and complete the order form by hand and return to CPAG stating on the form that the payment will method by made by BACS. 

We recommend customers order with a card via our secure online shopping basket. However, if you prefer you can contact us on 020 7837 5236 and we can take your order over the phone with your card details.


To return an item

Items can be returned under the following conditions: 

  • the item must be returned within 14 working days of receipt
  • books must be returned in their original condition

All returns must be authorised in advance by CPAG book orders department. Contact us by one of the means above. Our opening hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. 

Repackage the items securely and send back to us together with the reason for return and the delivery note and/or receipt, and state whether you would like a refund or a replacement. 

If you are returning an item as it was damaged when you received it, or if we have supplied you with the incorrect product, our sales team will arrange a replacement and for the item to be collected.

If, after your order has been dispatched, you wish to cancel you will need to send the items back at your own expense. When the items are returned in good condition we will issue you a refund. 

Returns by post are made at your risk. We recommend that you use an insured registered mail service as returns not received by us cannot be credited to you.

To cancel or change your order

You have the right to cancel your order up to 14 working days starting from the day after your items are delivered.

For orders made through the online shopping basket we are unable to change an order once it has been submitted and payment taken. If the items have been dispatched see ‘to return an item’ above.

Delivery information

Items are dispatched within 2-8 working days of receipt of payment. Please allow 15 working days before enquiring about your order.

All items are dispatched by either Second Class Royal Mail or DPD secure delivery(within the UK).

If you are ordering from outside the UK, different dispatch arrangements and charges will apply. Please contact our book orders department for more information.
